Saved a lot of money by keeping the original cabinets . By prepping them adding molding, painting ,a little antiquing and new hardware was the key.
Still would like to add crown molding and change out the baseboard and door trim to add old world charm.
Saving my penny's,
I will get around to it.
I am just enjoying the process.
It's a lot of work but how rewarding.
I like the cabinets, very nice. The curtain is a bit much for me and I'm not sure I would have picked the back splash but it does look good. I might have went with a black back splash with "splashes" white intermixed. Maybe a black tile with white tiles interspersed. Kinda ties in the white cabinets with the black appliances. Or maybe some splashes of the counter top color. Just some thoughts. You've always had a great way with interiors though.
ReplyDeleteThe cabinets are a cream color with a black glaze in the grooves. The back splash is a bronze that picks up the wooden floors and the edge of the counter top is oak cut on a 45 angle to pull the back splash and floor together...Thanks for your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteAh, the back splash looks "silver" in the pics, big difference from what you explain then.
